Preparation for Flea Treatment Appointments
Prior to the first appointment:
- Animals must be dipped and/or treated for fleas within 48 hours prior to our initial visit.
- All bedding/linens/throw rugs must be washed. Linens must be left off the bed until we come for service. Anything the animal has come into contact with must be washed.
- All floors must be washed.
- All rugs must be vacuumed.
- All furniture must be vacuumed thoroughly, cushions and cracks and crevices also. Furniture must be turned over and cleaned underneath as well.
- Vacuum bags should be put in plastic bags and thrown away immediately.
- Vacuum should be put in a plastic bag for storage.
- Exterior yard must be free of clutter; all toys must be picked up. All weeds should be trimmed; any excess must be thrown away. No piles
- Pet food and water dishes should be cleaned and stored.
- Fish tanks must be covered with a breathable cloth (not plastic).
During the first appointment:
- Fogging/bombing must be done along with spraying for the first appointment.
- All people and pets must stay away from the house for at least three (3) hours.
- Any food must be covered ie: cookie jars etc. Plants are fine.
- The technician will call our office before leaving home to schedule the 2nd flea appointment.

- During the time between the first and second appointment, floors must not be washed or vacuumed, only swept.
