Ticks generally enter your home after attaching to a pet. But once inside they can
lay eggs, and new ticks will continue to attach to pets and humans after the first
set have been removed. When treating for ticks, eggs must be killed in addition to
the insects.

If the above schedule is followed and all preparation steps are followed the tick treatment is guaranteed.
Preparation for Flea Treatment Appointments
Prior to the first appointment:
- Animals must be dipped and/or treated for ticks within 48 hours prior to our initial visit.
- All bedding/linens/throw rugs must be washed. Linens must be left off the bed until we come
for service. Anything the animal has come into contact with must be washed.
- All floors must be washed.
- All rugs must be vacuumed.
- All furniture must be vacuumed thoroughly, cushions and cracks and crevices also. Furniture
must be turned over and cleaned underneath as well.
- Vacuum bags should be put in plastic bags and thrown away immediately.
- Vacuum should be put in a plastic bag for storage.
- Exterior yard must be free of clutter; all toys must be picked up. All weeds should be
trimmed; any excess must be thrown away. No piles
- Pet food and water dishes should be cleaned and stored.
- Fish tanks must be covered with a breathable cloth (not plastic).
